Second coordination meeting of AGRAS project team
Within the project “Improving of Road Network for Development of Rural Cross Border Area – AGRAS” financed by Greece – The former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia IPA Cross-Border Programme 2007-2013 on November 21th, 2013 at hotel Sirius, Strumica the second coordination meeting of the project team was held. The meeting was attended by the members from the project partners, Region of Central Macedonia, Greece and Centre for Development of the South-East Planning Region, Strumica.
On the meeting partners presented their activities that was carried out and the activities that are planned further in the project implementation.
The main topics of discussion were certainly the current Seminar for transfer of knowledge in managing of the local road infrastructure and the natural resources and besides the representatives of the municipalities from the South-East Region, experts from Greece as presenters, present were and the representatives of the project team of the two project partners. The conclusion was that this seminar is organized very successfully and meets the expectations of the participants.
Furthermore, as topic of discussion was the future Study visit for part of the participants who attended the seminar wherein they can see the implemented projects on spot and can exchange experiences with their colleagues from the Region of Central Macedonia. This Study visit will be held from 4th to 6th December 2013. Partners in detail discussed the agenda and organization of this event.
Furthermore CDSEPR informed the partners that of 28 November 2013 will start with public debates in ten municipalities in the region for analysis of infrastructure in the South-East Region which further will used in the final preparation of Opportunity study for development of road infrastructure in the South-East planning region which will be distributed to all interested parties.
Finally it was confirmed that the next meeting of the team will be held in January 2014 in Thessaloniki, while the final conference of the project will be held in February in Strumica.
